Aromatic molecules: A-thuyone, fenchou, Pineni

Scent: Woody

Description: A large conifer with a broad, pyramidal shape. The thuja has a forked trunk with several branches in its natural state. The bark is reddish-brown and fissured into fine bands.

The branches at the top are short and slightly upward or horizontal. Those at the bottom, on the other hand, tend to droop. New shoots of the thuja spread horizontally. The foliage, light green in spring, becomes darker during the summer and takes on a russet hue in winter.
